Attachment-focused therapy

How our earliest and closest relationships shape the way we feel, cope and connect, and how that can change.

What is it?
From our first years, we learn from the people closest to us whether it's safe to need others, show feelings and ask for help. Those early lessons often carry on into adult life: into relationships, parenting and the way we handle stress. Attachment-focused therapy looks at these patterns with curiosity rather than blame.
How we work
Together we look at how your relationships, past and present, affect you now. The relationship between us matters too: therapy should feel safe enough to try new ways of being with your feelings and with other people. This is the thread through all my work, whatever other methods we use.
When it can help
It can be helpful when relationships feel hard or keep repeating the same patterns, when you're becoming a parent, after difficult experiences in childhood, or when you want to understand yourself better.
